Finding yourself..

is hard when you’re too busy looking at others. This to me can have multiple meanings, but it’s most fitting to the good old saying “You need to love yourself before you can love someone else”. To be completely honest in my younger years I used, and abused the three magic words (I love you). I always threw it out there without knowing its true meaning. I often forgot to cater to myself when it came to relationships and friendships. Now for the turning point, what makes my current relationship special is the fact that she told me she wants me to focus on myself, and love myself first. That’s what makes this bond so unique and lovely to me. The idea that we always want what’s best for each other. Always having the interests of progression in mind, whether it be individually or together. Although the quote said earlier seems selfish, it’s really not. The only reason why it may seem that way is because people misinterpret the meaning. Loving yourself doesn’t mean forgetting about others.

Conclusion: I’ve learned to love myself, allowing me to truly love someone else. We’ve had 27 months of progression. Let’s see what the future holds for us.
